Walter F. Trojanowsky Jr.
April 30, 1927 - July 24, 2023

Walter Floyd Trojanowsky, Jr., age 96, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, in Plano, Texas. He was born on April 30, 1927, at his parent's home in Houston.

Walter, at 18 yrs old, proudly served in the Marine Corps during WW II and was on a ship to Japan when the bomb was dropped.

In 1946, Walter went on a date, arranged by his sister Marian, with his future wife Sue Dowdy. Walter and Sue enjoyed many activities together, including bridge, dominoes, dancing, bowling, traveling, and socializing.

They were active members of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Houston for 40 years.

In 1978, Walter was the only coach, at the time, from the State of Texas to take a high school baseball team, "Dobie South Houston", to the American Legion World Series.

Walter is survived by his beautiful, sweet wife of 74 years, Sue Trojanowsky, and their children, Brenda Reese, Sunset Valley, Tx, Diana Hueter (& husband-Bill), Plano, Tx; Walter Carl Trojanowsky (& wife-Regina) of Lexington, S.C. and Jackie Trojanowsky of McKinney, Tx.

Visitation will be 10-11 am (7/28/23) at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Road, Houston, Tx with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. Burial will take place at 2 pm in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Tx.
