Starts at 4:00 pm (Central time)
Victoria Salazar, age 56, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Her final days were spent surrounded by her two favorite things: music and family. Victoria, known as Vickie, was born on May 29, 1970, to Eugenio and Virginia Salazar. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugenio Salazar, brother, Alfred Salazar and sisters, Barbara Pace and Jacqueline Martinez.
Vickie’s special interests and hobbies included going to the movies, eating her favorite cheese enchiladas at Andy’s, enjoying the iconic Dr. Pepper, watching the Houston Astros, attending concerts, caring for her animals, and most importantly, spending time with her nieces and nephews. Although she did not have children, her nieces and nephews were treated like they were her own. She was always the aunt that would take them to get something they were interested in, no matter what it was. The giver of music and movies. There was always an adventure to go on with her. One of the most special things she would do for her nieces and nephews was rent a hotel room close to home just so they could all go swimming.
She is survived by her loving mother, Virginia Salazar, brother, Steven Salazar (Conception Salazar), sister in-law, Guadalupe Salazar, nephews: Gabriel Salazar, Daniel Pace, Stanley (Jr.) Pace (Cristal Llerena), De Niro Salazar (Tyler Reyna), Joseph Salazar (Sabrina Saldana), nieces: Yvonne Bonhame (Derrik Bonhame), Deniece Martinez (Americo Martinez), Alyssa Martinez (Ricky G.), Mariah Holt (Forrest Holt), Amanda Salazar (Courtney Simpson) and many great nieces and great nephews.
Vickie touched the lives of many people with her smile, contagious laughter, unconditional love, helping others and dedicating her time to family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who loved her and will continue to live on through her family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers consist of her brother, Steven, and nephews: Gabriel, Stanley (Jr.), De Niro, Joseph, Derrik, Americo, Forrest.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. on June 11, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075.
