IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven Edward
Saldana
August 31, 1970 – May 21, 2025
With great sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Steven Saldana, who left us on May 21, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on August 31, 1970, Steven lived a life full of heart, humor, and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear.
A proud graduate of Dobie High School and the Houston Fire Academy, Steven was a man of principle, strength, and quiet generosity. His 35-year membership with Sam's Club was a testament not just to his sense of loyalty, but to the simple joys he found in everyday routines and the people connected to them.
Steven had a deep love for the things that brought him joy: professional wrestling, classic horror films, heavy metal music, everything from the 1980s, and, above all, Star Wars. His passions were more than hobbies — they were part of how he expressed himself, connected with others, and found comfort and fun in a world he approached with curiosity and warmth.
He is survived by his loving parents, Elsa and Santiago Saldana; his sister Daffney Saldana and her children Rene Cuellar and his wife Scarleth, and Corina Cuellar; and his brother James Saldana and his wife Julia, along with their children Andrew, Jlisa, and Amber. He also leaves behind Jlisa's husband Torey, Andrew's wife Maria, and their children Mya, Nyjuel, and Jailen. Steven was a beloved uncle to Jayden Leos and Lazaro Obregon who he looked forward to sharing events, concerts and collectibles with. He is also survived by a large extended family in San Antonio and Dallas.
Steven will be remembered for his sharp wit, his unmistakable laugh, and a heart big enough to hold everyone he cared about. His loyalty, sense of humor, and unique personality left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.
A celebration of Steven's life will take place on May 30th from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Rosary/Vigil 5:00 p.m. at Forrest Lawn 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston, TX 77075
Steven Saldana's legacy is one of love, strength, and authenticity. He was truly one of a kind — and he will be deeply missed.
