Obituary

Rose Marie Quintero
December 22, 1966 - March 25, 2022

Rose Marie Quintero, 55, was called to our Lord Friday, March 25th, 2022. Rose was surrounded by her 2 children; John Quintero Jr. (Jay) and Catherine Rose Quintero and her baby sister Catherine Trevino (Cathy).

Rose was born December 22nd 1966 in Houston, Texas to Amelia and Robert Arredondo. She was the oldest of her 3 siblings; Ralph Arredondo, Anita Romero and Cathy Trevino. Rose also had 1 half-sister and 3 half-brothers.

During her teenage years, Rose settled into Austin, Texas. And it was there that she met John Anthony Quintero. The two fell in love, married and moved to the suburbs of Hornsby-Bend in Austin. It was in this home that the two raised their two children Jay and Catherine.

Rose's home was filled with love. She absolutely adored her children, her husband, her neighbors and her many dogs. She was especially proud of her daughter joining the US Navy and was a true American Patriot.

Rose held many jobs in her lifetime. Some small, others more fulfilling, She loved her job with the Optometrist office. She became fascinated with the anatomy and complexities of the human eye. She loved the patients she helped and the work she did to save and protect patients' eyesight. However, Rose's favorite job was assisting the elderly and disabled population with CapMetro Access. It was here that her beautiful smile and compassionate heart excelled. By simply offering her smile, laugh, hugs and friendly ear she would go to any length to ensure her clients were safe and comfortable.

Rose would eventually join Catherine Quintero in Fallon, Nevada (2020). She quickly made friends and touched so many hearts. Rose truly lived unapologetically, loved whole-heartedly and laughed infectiously till the end.
