Obituary

Rose Mitchell was born in Shreveport, LA on December 24, 1922 to Janette and Henry Jimes. She had one brother Nicholas Jimes and grew up in the Heights area in Houston, Texas Rose married Hobart J. Mitchell in March of 1943 and was married for 54 years. She worked secretarial jobs during WWII while her husband was deployed. Rose lived in Lubbock, Texas for a few years but lived majority of her life in Houston. She raised two children, David and Rosanne and she attended St. Christopher Catholic Church for over 60 years and volunteered her time in various organizations. Rose was a Eucharistic minister at St. Christopher's Church. She enjoyed reading, painting and working on puzzles. Rose also enjoyed walking her neighborhood mostly everyday for at least 30 years. She enjoyed her glass of wine, Soap Operas and traveling with family and friends. She loved her grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren

Rose Mitchell is preceded in death by her spouse Hobart J. Mitchell and Great Granddaughter Careena Rose Mitchell

Rose is survived by son David Mitchell & daughter Rosanne Deutsch (Alfredo Deutsch) Grandchildren De Ana Maria Mitchell-Dyer (Bradley Ryan Dyer), Dante Mitchell (Monica Mitchell) Damian Mitchell (Janell Mitchell), Dominic Mitchell (Roxana Ruiz), Steven Deutsch (Diana Deutsch), Daniela De La Fuente & Francisco De La Fuente Great Grandchildren Dominic Mitchell Jr., Giovani Mitchell, Lillian Mitchell, Giana Mitchell, Arianna Mitchell, Celeste Bonner (Andrew Bonner), Collin Mitchell (Adriana), Tyler Mitchell Ganey, Taylor McKenzie Ganey, Joel Mitchell, Dante Luciano Jr. Great Great Grandchildren Zayden Blake Dyer, Benjamin Milliano Rangel, Bentley Mason Rangel, Addison Nicole Ganey,Mateo Mitchell & Amelia Bonner Multiple Nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Rosary 7 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston, Texas 77075

Funeral Mass Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11a.m. St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 8150 Park PLace Blvd. Houston, Texas 77017, Interment to follow Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, Texas 77023
