Roque Silva also known as Rocky or "The Rock", aged 88, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Roque was born on September 9th, 1936, to Cesario and Teresa Silva in Houston, TX.

Roque was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His work ethic, discipline and guidance were the foundation of his family.

Roque was preceded by his mother, Teresa, his father Cesario, Brothers, John, Richard, Henry, Ruben and his sister Annie.

Roque leaves behind his cherished family, including his wife of 67 years, Lillie Silva, and children, Roland Silva, Steve Silva and wife Alison, Rene Silva and wife Gina, Natalie Saucedo and husband Jonathan, Matthew Silva and wife Aurea.  He is also survived by grandchildren, Gabriella and Drew Casey, Nicholas Silva, Lucas and Kaitlin Saucedo, Brianna Silva, Joshua Silva, Angelina Saucedo, Andrew Silva and great granddaughter, Isabella Casey. He found great joy in the simple things—sharing stories, offering heartfelt advice, and giving the warm hugs that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Roque was a passionate baseball fan and a lifelong supporter of the Houston Astros. His spirit, kindness, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He will be remembered always with love, gratitude, and admiration.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 4p.m. - 8p.m. Rosary 6p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston, Texas 77075.
