Obituary

Paul Anthony Kasper "PK" was born the youngest of three children in Houston, Texas on October 24, 1947. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 76 on September 3, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe Kasper Jr. and Adeline Motl Kasper, and his brother Joseph Charles Kasper.

He is survived by his love, Deborah Block Kasper and two daughters, Brandi (Joe) Naughton (grand-daughter Hailey), and Britney (Josh) Beaman, his sister Mary Adelyn Grieneeks, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

During his four years at Mt. Carmel High School, he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. As a gifted pitcher, he had the talent to compete at the next level. However, his life took a different direction when he was drafted. Despite this change, his high school years were filled with lifelong friendships.

PK served honorably in the Navy aboard the USS Forrestal during the Vietnam War, demonstrating remarkable bravery during the tragic explosion aboard that ship. His service to his country was a source of immense pride.

In his professional life, PK worked as a Shipping and Receiving Manager at Rex Supply, where he was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and sense of camaraderie. The people he worked with became his friends and his second family. Later, he was a Manager at Floyd's Seafood in Pearland, where he brought his passion for service and hospitality to the restaurant industry.

An avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, PK found joy and solace in nature. He spent countless hours sharing his love for the outdoors with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

PK was also a dedicated volunteer at the Houston Rodeo, where he contributed his time and energy to support the community and its events. His commitment to volunteering reflected his generous spirit and desire to give back to the community he loved.

PK had a special bond with his dog, Woody, who was his loyal companion and brought him great joy and comfort.

Paul's legacy of courage, love and his passion for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 1-4 PM with a Rosary at 2 PM. All family and friends are welcome to gather for a reception following the memorial service at Floyd's Seafood located at 1300 E. Broadway Street, Pearland, Texas 77581.
