Monica A. Bailey
March 5, 1957- February 20, 2024

Monica Bailey, a cherished sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly, on February 20, 2024, in Waco, Texas at the age of 66. Monica, known as Mo by many of us, was born in Houston Texas on March 5, 1957, to Ernest Harlon and Edmonia Hardy. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Schools from First Grade through High School. Monica held several positions in her life including time with Continental Airlines, Sams Club, and an international bank.

She enjoyed music of all genres including blues, country, and pop and loved to go listen to live music and dance whenever she could. When she was with Continental, she traveled often with her mother or friends. Like her mother, she loved to decorate her home for all holidays. Monica was kind and had a deep affection for children and animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Michael Harlon and William Keith and her husband of over twenty-five years, Cecil Bailey. Survivors include her brother Edward Craig and his wife Carole, and their four children, Amy, Charles, Jason and Sarah and their families, her aunt and uncle, Linda and Jimmy Waters, her niece, Aaron and her family, her cousins and many dear friends. Monica will be deeply missed, but her impact on the lives she touched will always be remembered.

We will be celebrating Monica's life on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1-4 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd., Houston, TX 77075.
