Mary Alice Howard, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, caregiver, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and a family who will forever cherish her.
Mary Alice was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Ulis “Bill” Howard Sr. for 59 years. Together, they built a life centered around family. She was a woman who loved deeply and gave so much of herself to the people she cared for. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.
Mary Alice was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and trusted in His promises throughout her life. Her faith in God was a source of strength, comfort, and hope, and she carried that faith with her through both the joys and challenges of life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, kindness, and faith. Her family finds comfort knowing that she is now at peace and has been welcomed home into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, reunited with those who went before her.
Throughout her life, Mary Alice worked hard and was known for her caring heart and her ability to make people feel welcome. She spent approximately 20 years working at the Monterey House, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many. She later worked in customer service at Walmart, where her warm personality and genuine kindness touched those around her.
After retiring, Mary Alice continued to enjoy staying active and spending time with the people she loved. She was affectionately known as “Ms. Mary” during her time at Discovery Kingdom, where her caring nature and loving spirit once again made an impression on those around her.
Mary Alice’s greatest legacy, however, was not found in her work, but in the love she gave her family. She will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, her faith, her sense of humor, and the countless ways she showed her love.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Kirby and her husband, Norman; her son, Ulis “Bill” Howard Jr.; her daughter, Brahana Howard; and her son, Joey Howard and his wife, Diane; along with her sister-in-law, Carolyn Farlow. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ulis “Bill” Howard Sr., and her brother, Colonel Farlow, as well as other beloved family members who went before her, including Robert Farlow and Carolyn, William Farlow, and Mary Farlow.
Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we are comforted knowing that Mary Alice is now at peace. She has finished her earthly journey and is resting in the presence of the Lord, reunited with her beloved husband and those she loved who went before her.
Her love will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
Rest peacefully, Mom. We love you, and we will carry you in our hearts forever.
