IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria Rosario
Ovalle
July 26, 1953 – March 21, 2025
Rosie was born on July 26, 1953, in Beaumont, Texas to the late Maria Elena Alvarado and late Felix Alameda Sr. She is one of the seven siblings. Rosie attended Bowie Elementary and graduated from Beaumont High in 1972. Rosie attended Temple Baptista where she was baptized, received her communions and was a devoted member.
She moved to Houston Texas where she stayed. Rosie loved to read, getting lost in the pages of Shakespeare, Agatha Christies and mystery novels. She would unwind watching MASH, Knight Rider but especially everything "Star Trek" She shared her knowledge of books and music she grew up dancing to that old time rock n roll. She spent most of her free time with her children, volunteering at the school and taking them to various places, creating her own adventures to share. Rosie would capture every moment in photos so they would never end. Many remember her stories of the "Target days" and just life in general.
Maria is preceded in death by her siblings Juan Manuel Alameda and Feliz Alameda Jr. Survived by siblings Juan Alameda, Andy Alameda, Martin Alameda and David Alameda. As well as her children Francisco Antonio Ovalle, Diana Pilar Williams and Amanda Gale Ovalle. Rosie had nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her love for the children was without end for she spent most of her time reminding them that she "loves them to the moon and back". Maria will be missed by everyone and forgotten by none. For she would want us all to "Live long and Prosper"….
