Margie Louise Burnett, born on January 11, 1931 to Herbert and Johnie Wolle in Saspamco, Wilson
County, TX. Margie passed away on November 27, 2023 in Houston, TX at the age of 92.

Margie was an only child. She attended Pasadena High School and played volleyball for the school.
She married James Burnett on June 3, 1950. She was a stay-at-home mom, which was a full-time job. Margie enjoyed playing volleyball. She played tournament ball until she retired from her traveling team at 59. Margie and James went snow skiing up until she was 68. She enjoyed water skiing and boating. She spent many days and nights watching her sons play baseball from t-ball to adult ball. Margie enjoyed and loved all her grandchildren. She had 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Margie is survived by her son, Buster Burnett and his wife, Lynne; her son, David Burnett and his wife,Tanya and her daughter, Sue Fisher and her beloved dog, Tiger, who followed her wherever she went.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Johnie, her beloved husband, James, who was the love of her life. Her granddaughters, Megan Lynne Burnett, and Rebecca Lynn Broyles.
