IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Manuel
Murillo Jr.
December 21, 1959 – March 7, 2026
Manuel Murillo Jr., our beloved brother and friend to many, sadly passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from health complications.
Manuel was born in Houston at St. Joseph’s Hospital on December 21, 1959. He is survived by his four siblings: Carol Ann Taylor, Esther Murillo Escamilla, Rodolph Murillo, and David Murillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel G. Murillo Sr., Alice D. Falcon Murillo and his sister-in-law Eva Murillo.
At a young age, Manuel served as an altar boy at Immaculate Conception Church alongside his younger brother Rudy in the 1970s. He later graduated from Austin High School, Class of 1979, where he was extremely well liked. His positive attitude and joyous energy was truly unique. As an adult, Manuel’s employment history afforded him the opportunity to cultivate deep friendships with people from all walks of life. Later in life when he was no longer able to work, he volunteered countless hours at Omega House Hospice here in Houston and kept it always in his thoughts.
One of Manuel’s greatest passions was playing the game of Tennis, both for fun and competitively. He also had a deep love for photography and was often the person called to capture weddings and special events. With his camera in hand, he traveled the world, photographing many beautiful places.
Manuel’s greatest joy was spending quality time with his large circle of family and friends, and his love for the children in the family was immeasurable.
Our Uncle Jr. would have wanted us to mention his beloved nieces and nephews Mary Lynn, Gina, Shelly, Christopher, Alice Belen, Edward and Darla, and his precious babies - grandnieces and grandnephews - Jovani, Ava, Kaylee, Sullivan, and Scarlett.
We will never forget him. He was truly a blessing to all who knew him. Though we are heartbroken, we trust completely in God’s promise of everlasting life.
Until we see you again. We love you.
Love one another - John 13:34
