IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joy Del
Rio Juarez
January 17, 1955 – December 10, 2023
Joy Del Rio Juarez passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the age of 68. Born in Houston, Texas on January 17, 1955 to parents Angela and Gus Del Rio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Angela and Gus Del Rio, her siblings: Jesse, Ricky, Delores, twin brother: Joe, Patsy, and Esmeralda and her grandson: Mark Marin.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Irene, Cristiana and Richard, her grandchildren: Mariah, Samantha, Destini, Dominique, Tiana, Adrian, Michael, Ethan and Ayden, great grandchildren: Aromini and Adonis, Brother: Gus Jr., Sister: Frances, Nieces, Nephews, many Family members and close Friends.
Joy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed life to the fullest and instilled the love of family to all. She was super supportive, motivational, inclusive, and charitable. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, they were her sunshine. She devoted her life to her grandchildren, leaving her position at the US Post Office when her first grandchild was born.
Her absence leaves a void in the lives of many family members she touched during her all-too-brief sixty eight years of life.
While Joy's family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Her husband, Richard, and children, Irene, Cristiana and Richard, invite all who knew and loved her to her Celebration of Life. It will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home this Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10:00am.
Flowers can be sent to Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston, TX 77075.
"I am home in Heaven, dear ones; oh, so happy and so bright! There is a perfect joy and beauty in the everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand, do it now, while life remaineth– you shall rest in God's own land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you home; oh, the rapture of that meeting oh, the joy to see you come!"
