Obituary

Joann Cruz
July 23, 1994 - June 18, 2023

Joann Cruz. So many great things to say about her. She was a great daughter, awesome sister, wonderful wife, and above all an amazing mother. No one can ever take her place. She is unique in every single way possible. Joann was the life of the party, always making us laugh. With all the joking she did, there was never a dull moment. As a wife, Joann was the best. One in a million, everything a husband could ask for and then some. They did everything together. Two peas in a pod. Always had the right answers and knew how to uplift someone. Her family would say she was an outstanding mother. She loved and lived for & through her family. She did it all. Joann made her kids feel safe and cared for. She just knew how to connect with them. Picked them up when they were down, made them laugh so hard it hurt. A mother that was tough as nails but had a heart of gold. Her memory will live through her kids. Growing up Joann was very tough and stood her ground. A great daughter that took care of her parents all the time. As a sister, Joann always had everyone's back regardless. We can count on her to hear us out and give us advice. Sometimes the advice was crazy but most times she gave us common sense .

After losing our mother, she kept us all together. She was the "mom" of her siblings, who knew all of mom's recipes. And made them just the same. A very caring and loving person. Someone who stood her ground for what she believed was right. Joann was the caregiver of the family. Always knowing how to make it better. Strong-willed, tough as nails, and very determined. Once her mind was made up there was no changing it. We will always remember her. The good & bad, the happiest moments, the craziest of moments. Her memory will forever live. She will truly and dearly be missed. A beautiful soul that has left a mark on every person she met. So unforgettable that she will forever live in our hearts and through her husband and children.

Joann Cruz is preceded in death by her brother Roman Torres, grandmother Elvira Gonzalez-Cruz, and her mother Jo Ann Cruz.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years Manuel Guerrero, her children Angel, Bella, Amaya, Ruben, Johnny. Her dad J. Margarito Torres, her siblings Chris Cruz, Esabell Cruz, Miguel Cruz, Jose Margarito Torres, Cristal Torres, Jose Maria Torres, Guadalupe Torres, Fabian Torres and all her nieces, nephews, and family.
