Gustavo Javier Martinez entered life on April 21, 1970 and entered eternity on August 17, 2023. He was a father to 3 sons; Kris, Josh, and Zack; a son to Lino Martinez and Maria Martinez, a brother to Christina, Julio, Lino, Rocio (Albert), Lily (Joey), and Judy (George); an amazing grandfather, and friend to many.

Gustavo was a devoted, selfless, and joyful person. He had a passion for cooking, hunting, fishing, watching Texans and Astros games, and most importantly attending tea parties with his Kyla. He extended help to anyone whether you were close to him or a distant friend. He was always meeting others' needs first and giving his very best. He knew how to make everyone feel welcomed and taken care of, especially if you were in his home. He always had plenty of food, and anytime he posted a picture of him cooking on Facebook, anyone that saw it or commented was welcomed to join in on his delicious food. Somehow, he always had plenty and even leftovers for people to take home.

His presence brought so much comfort and warmth to those that surrounded him, and has truly left a mark on us all. A smile, a laugh, a kind word, you were important to him!

His family is so grateful to all of his friends for giving him all of the adventures this life had for him, and joining him in the things that made him most happy. Until we see you again, you will be missed, but have left behind a piece of your joy in each and every one of us. We love you Gus!
