Felix Alaniz Gonzales Sr. 89, of South Houston, Texas entered eternal rest on September 13, 2023. Born in Eagle Lake, Texas on July 18, 1934, Felix, and his family moved to South Houston in 1942 where he spent the rest of his life amongst family and friends. Always the life of the party, Felix was well known and loved in his community as very sociable and compassionate but was most known for his comedic gestures, silly jokes, and storytelling. His most favorite pass times were dancing, building, and fixing hot rod vehicles and watching boxing.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Gonzales, and sons Felix Jr. and Roy Gonzales; his parents Guillermo (Willie) and Mary Alaniz Gonzales; his siblings Jesus (Chuy), Willie, Dolores (Lola), Edward (Lalo), Fernando (Nando), Florinda, Julia, and Adolfo (Rapa).

His memory shall live on in life through his surviving siblings, Anita and Ernest Gonzales, and children: Mary Frances Morua (spouse John Morua), Nick Gonzales and Dolores Gonzales; his grandchildren: Marisa, John Robert, Roy Jr., John Henry, Jessica, Sandy, Jennifer, Felix III, Aaron, Selena, Roy II, Meagan, and Alyssa; along with great and great-great grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Services have been entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home where a visitation will be held. Final goodbyes will take place Friday, September 22nd, followed by a procession to interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation is appreciated.

The Gonzales Family appreciates the outpour of love and sympathy. While our hearts are broken, we are comforted in knowing that he is dancing in heaven.
