Edward Harvey Sr. passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2024 at the age of sixty-six.

Born September 14, 1957 to Arthur and Pauline Harvey, Edward lived his life in Houston, Texas with his eight siblings Joyce Howard, Judy (Reginald) Lee, Jan (Donald Ray) Lee, Anthony (Brenda) Harvey, Yolanda (Ronald) Sidney, Russell Harvey, Charles Paley, and John Harvey along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.

Edward graduated from Stephen F. High School in 1975. He played basketball and was known for his skills on the court.

In 1977 he met Wenny Jason and they were married for twenty two years. Edward and Wenny raised four children Julian Jason, Edward Harvey Jr., Tamika Harvey, and Shonte (Derrick) Carr.

In 1998, Edward remarried to Henrietta P. Harvey and they were married for sixteen years. He was the step-father to three children Nakima Caston, Matthew Caston, and Brittany Johnson.

Edward worked at Sara Lee Corporation for several years as well as an EMT later in life. In 2020, Edward retired and spent his time relaxing in the backyard, bowling, and visiting friends and family. He was a proud grandfather to eighteen grandchildren and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Pauline Harvey, his sister Joyce Howard, two brothers Russell Harvey and Charles Paley, and step-daughter Brittany Johnson.
