Deborah Block Kasper was born the youngest of three children in Houston, Texas on June 28, 1953. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 72 on April 12, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Evelyn Block and her husband Paul Anthony Kasper.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brandi (Joe) Naughton (granddaughter Hailey), and Britney (Josh) Beaman, her brothers Ronald (Sarah) Block and Kenny (Diane) Block, her niece Amanda (Korky) Goss, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Debbie attended Mt. Carmel High School and was a Twirler in the Carmel Cadettes. After graduation she entered the professional world working in accounting / supply chain management at Baker Hughes. Debbie found her way back to Mt. Carmel working in the administrative office while both of her daughters attended Mt. Carmel and OLMC. Most recently she was a self-employed bookkeeper.
Debbie loved sewing and crafting. She was a talented seamstress and wreath-maker. She was thrilled to pass that love of sewing on to her Granddaughter. She found joy on the water, in the garden, and in the company of dogs and horses. In those moments when she let herself have fun; her laughter was so full it brought tears to her eyes.
Debbie was a beloved Mom of all types as her daughters and granddaughter grew up in life. She was a Softball Mom, Volleyball Mom, FFA Mom, Swim Mom, Cheer Mom and Grandma, Aggie Mom, and Theater Grandma. She loved her girls so very much with all of her heart.
Debbie dedicated 25 years as a volunteer at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She was a Lifetime Member, Captain, and Vice Chairman on the Directions and Assistance Committee. She gave her time and energy to this great Houston event and cherished the time she spent with her fellow committee members. She was so proud every year to share Rodeo Houston with friends and family.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
