IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David E
Bearden
November 15, 1943 – April 12, 2025
Oh, dad. Pops. You were a great dad. A fantastic dad.
We miss you terribly.
You owned two businesses in your lifetime, and you became Vice President of another. You created the apple fritter that was spread across the US by the largest donut chain in the country at that time. All of that you did on a high school education and a strong work ethic. You were an excellent provider. We wanted for little.
We remember taking those vacations every year. You wanted us to visit every southern state and touch both oceans. That, we did, never visiting north of the Mason-Dixon Line but getting our hands wet in the Atlantic and the Pacific.
You loved to take out the boat. You'd cook us a mean steak on Sundays. Those barbeque beans are still the best we've ever had. You loved NASCAR and TV Westerns, Hank Williams Sr., and a cold beer--Coors, of course!
You had a sense of humor, something all three of us take with us. You instilled in us self-esteem. You taught us to cherish family. And, you were always very proud of us.
We love you, dad.
You taught us unconditional love.
Kenneth says, "I am proud of you, and I am proud to be your first-born son."
Kimberley says, "Dad, everyone knows I am your favorite, and I am so happy I gave you a grandson. I love you!"
Stephen says, "Thank you for teaching us that doing the right thing is the only option."
