Cruz Torres was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, dedication, and unwavering love that will live on in all who knew him.
He was happily married to the love of his life, Olinda Torres. Together they built a beautiful life centered around family, faith, and commitment. Their marriage was an example of loyalty and partnership.
Cruz was a proud father to his four children and his greatest joy was watching his family grow. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. He cherished every moment spent with them.
He loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a chance to support his team. He found peace in deer hunting and took great pride in Sunday barbecues, where the smell of food on the grill meant family gathered close. Those Sundays were traditions filled with laughter, stories, and love.
Cruz started working construction as a welder, then obtaining his CWI. As he progressed in him career he obtained his API certifications (510,570,653) working for various companies. He became an owner/user starting at unit inspector and working his way up to becoming Chief inspector at various sites. He was know for his knowledge in all codes, his dedication and always doing the right thing. The inspection world has lost a great leader, mentor and friend.
Cruz Torres will be remembered for his strength, his quiet wisdom, his devotion to his family, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the love that continues through generations.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
