IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cruz Luna
Dominguez
May 3, 1928 – April 25, 2025
Cruz L. Dominguez was born on May 3, 1928, in Sugar Land, Texas, and raised in Mexico, where he stepped into the role of a father figure early in life, raising and supporting his siblings with strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love. From that moment on, family was everything to him.
Known lovingly as "1000usos" for his incredible ability to fix just about anything, Cruz was truly a jack of all trades. He was a skilled mechanic who not only took pride in his craft but also used it as a way to give back—always willing to lend a hand to friends, neighbors, and anyone in the community who needed help.
He served proudly in the Mexican military for several years, carrying with him a deep sense of discipline and resilience that shaped the rest of his life.
His greatest passion, however, was his wife, Felipa R. Dominguez, whom he loved deeply and cared for selflessly until his very last breath. His devotion to her was unshakable, and his love for his family was the backbone that held everyone together.
Cruz was a man of contrasts in the most beautiful way: a firm, demanding father to his sons, yet endlessly tender and supportive with his daughters. He loved to cook, sneak late-night showers, and enjoy a bowl of ice cream—simple pleasures that brought him quiet joy.
He remained fiercely independent to the very end, never afraid to tackle even the heaviest tasks on his own. His strength, wisdom, and reliability made him the one everyone could count on—no matter what.
We will miss him more than words can say, but we celebrate his life with pride, knowing he is finally at peace and free from pain. His legacy of love, loyalty, and generosity lives on in each of us.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Felipa R. Dominguez; his loving daughters and sons and their spouses, who stood by him with unwavering support; his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy; his dear sisters, who shared in his life's journey; and many cherished nieces and grand-nieces, who will remember him with love.
