Obituary

Clarence Leroy Olsen
Loving Husband, Father, Navy Veteran, and Friend

Clarence Leroy Olsen, simply known as "Olsen" beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at the age of 82, surrounded by his family. Born on June 22, 1942, Olsen lived a life full of love, dedication, and kindness.

Olsen proudly served his country in the United States Navy, during which he was stationed in Beeville, Texas. It was there that he met the love of his life, Rose. Together, they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, building a loving family and a lifetime of memories.

After his service, Olsen worked for Reynolds Metals, where he dedicated 29 years of service before retiring. He had a deep love for woodworking and enjoyed piddling around the house, always finding something to fix or improve. His passion for fishing and spending time on the boat brought him joy, and in his younger years, he found excitement in building and customizing cars and motorcycles. Olsen was a man of great skill and creativity, always working with his hands and taking pride in his work.

Known for his easy-going, laid-back personality, Olsen was someone people naturally gravitated toward. His calm demeanor and friendly presence made him a joy to be around, and everyone just liked him for who he was. His family and friends are taking his loss much harder than they ever expected, as his quiet strength and kindness touched so many lives in profound ways.

Olsen was also known for his unwavering honesty and strong morals. His character and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of those who knew him.

He was a devoted father to Cindy, Jim (Maggie Olsen), Kim (Bobby Reyes), and Josh (Roberto Soto). As a proud grandfather, he cherished his six grandchildren: Rocky LaLumia (Jessica Lalumia), Brandon Gamez, James Olsen, Blake Gamez, Blaine Gamez, and Haley Olsen and his two great grandchildren: Louis LaLumia and Valentina LaLumia. His family was the center of his world, and he made sure they always knew how much they meant to him.

Olsen is survived by his wife, Rose; their children Cindy, Jim, Kim, and Josh; his grandchildren and great grandchildren along with his beloved fur baby, Chloe.

Olsen's legacy of love, hard work, and integrity will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
