On Saturday, March 11, 2023, Cahseen "CJ" Haynes passed away at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 44.

CJ was born July 2, 1978, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from Katy High School in Katy, Texas in 1996. In February of 2021, he married Yvonne at a small, private ceremony in Houston, Texas.

Anyone who was even acquainted with CJ knew his favorite conversation topics were his family and Batman. Being a Batman aficionado, he had an extensive collection of Batman clothing, comic books, watches, and shoes. During the final weeks of his life, his family was able to fulfill his dream of sitting in a Batmobile.

Per his request, his family plans to return him to his favorite state by scattering his ashes in Tennessee later this year.
