Obituary

Betty Jane McNutt, loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and matriarch of her family, passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born on March 18th, 1930, in Neosho Falls, Kansas, and spent her life as a pillar of strength, love, and generosity.

Betty was the heart and soul of her family, always putting them first. Her unwavering dedication to her loved ones and her faith in the Lord were the foundation of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who leaves behind a legacy of kindness, selflessness, and devotion.

Throughout her life, Betty embraced her many passions. She loved to cook and took great pride in feeding her family, making every meal an expression of love. A lover of country music, she could often be found dancing to her favorite tunes, sharing moments of joy with those around her. Betty was also an avid player of dominoes, especially 42, and Scrabble, enjoying these games with friends and family alike.

In her younger years, Betty enjoyed bowling and was an amazing seamstress, creating beautiful pieces with her skilled hands. She worked as a beautician until her retirement at the age of 80, taking pride in her work and the relationships she built with her clients.

Known for her sharp wit and great sense of humor, Betty brought light and laughter to every room she entered. She took immense pride in the appearance of both herself and her home, ensuring that everything was always well-kept and beautiful.

Betty's legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched. Her love, wisdom, and warmth will be deeply missed, but she will forever be remembered as the rock of her family and a shining example of strength, faith, and generosity.

Betty Jane McNutt's love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Granddaughter Debbi Dennard Carnes; Great grandchild Katie and husband Sam; Great Great grandchildren Samantha and Sydney.

Great grandchild Jared Mueller and wife Faith; Great Great grandchild Penny.

Great grandchild Stevie Furr and husband Cameron; Great Great grandchild Waden.

Granddaughter Melissa Muncy and Husband Gene; Great grandchildren Kayla and Kuric.

Granddaughter Amanda Curry; Great grandchildren Colton and Wade.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by father Elmer and mother Cora Gibson.

Husband J.D. McNutt.
