Obituary

Angela Marie Laredo
February 9, 1976 - September 14, 2023

Angela Marie Laredo, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 14, 2023, at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born on February 9, 1976, in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Sam and Patricia Laredo, her three younger sisters, Christine Laredo, Patsy Laredo, and Leah Grafton (Ken); nephews and niece, Jonathan Grafton, Samuel Grafton, and Susanna Grafton. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Angela is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sam and Patsy Laredo, and her maternal grandparents, Wense and Virginia Savala.

Angela loved spending time with her family - traveling to large U.S. cities, trips to Texas beaches, and exploring the city of Houston where she was a proud, lifelong resident. She enjoyed frequenting her favorite local restaurants, attending many Astros games, musicals in the Theatre District, and volunteering for the 2017 Super Bowl.

Angela was an employee of San Jacinto College South Campus for eighteen years, beginning August 2005. During her tenure at the College, she worked in various departments, including Enrollment Services, President's Office, and most recently in the Liberal Arts Division. She enjoyed working alongside her colleagues, helping students, and being a part of the college that serves the community where she lived. Some of her professional accomplishments include the Staff Excellence Award and the Monument Award. Angela earned her associate's degree from San Jacinto College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake.

Angela's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She loved Bible study, attending special events at local churches, and encouraging others. Many of her years were devoted to church volunteer service, including children's ministry, administrative support, Sunday School teacher, and hospitality ministry. She was most recently a member of Sagemont Church.

A woman of excellence and integrity, Angela showed kindness and generosity to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
