Hernan J. Colorado (1930 - 2017)
Hernan J. Colorado, age 86, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017. He was born in Colombia, South America to Eliseo and Francisca Colorado. He retired from Mrs. Bairds Bread, where he worked for 21 years. He will be remembered in loving memory by his wife of 53 years Fanny Colorado; children Eva Cadena and Adolfo Colorado; grandkids and great-grandkids Jessica Reyes, Justin, Amber and Kaitlyn Cadena and Cayson and Eliana Colorado and Carter, Isabella and Logan Reyes.
The Family will greet family and friends on Friday, November 3rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd. Reception to follow at 3812 Oak Bend Dr., Pearland, Texas 77581.
Ruth Husband (1927 - 2018)
Hazel Ruth Sellers Husband was born June 27, 1927, in Houston, Texas. A life-long Houstonian, she passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, following a brief illness. She attended Incarnate Word Academy and was a devout Catholic. A member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church since 1951, she enjoyed being a member of the Third Order Lay Carmelites. She worked in nursing at St Joseph Hospital for decades and Southeast Memorial Hospital. She was loved by all. Ruthie was Queen of Crosswords; it was rare to see her without a puzzle book and pen in hand. Ruth is survived by her eight children, Charlotte Hargrave of Pleasanton, CA, Bruce Jr aka “Bubba” (Judy) Husband of Royse City, Mark (Kathryn) Husband of Chappell Hill, Marie (Daniel) Barth of Houston, Joseph (Vicky) Husband of Round Rock, Cecelia (Shannon) Lund of Houston, Mary (Wiley) Alexander of Collinsville, and James (Jessica) Husband of Houston; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and niece Donna Jean Bagwell (John) of Spring. Ruth lost both her parents before adulthood. She is also preceded in death by her only sibling, Ruby Jackson. Services will be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Blvd in Houston beginning with a rosary at 11am, Saturday, Feb 10th. Following, a funeral Mass will be held. Interment will occur at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd. Arrangements handled by Forest Lawn Funeral Home (713-991-9000).
